How I did it….

I did just that 10 months ago and although I do eat natural forming sugars through food (impossible to avoid) I no longer eat processed sugar and guess what? I feel great more of the time

I want to get something straight before I begin:

I’m not professing that sugar is evil, some people don’t have an issue with digesting it at all. Dark Chocolate for example, is packed full of antioxidants and of course makes you FEEL really good!

Some do however, and that’s where is pays to at least give your body a break from the stress sugar can put on you, especially at times of sickness and stress, pregnancy etc.

Neither am I going to drill you about how terrible sugar is and make you feel really guilty and hopeless.

I am on the other hand, going to share my experiences with you as I think I am like so many others who know some of their habits are harming and would like to find support to change the pattern. It is a pattern; a habit that can be changed and I will support you and show you how by sharing my knowledge and offering guidance using the powerful tool EFT tapping. I have made a short tapping video tap along for you and a EFT Tapping script to use to reduce and STOP the cravings.

Benefits that I have experienced:

  • Improved flow of energy
  • Improved digestion
  • Increased awareness of sweetness in my food
  • No cravings for sweet things after something savory.
  • Chronic shoulder pain which I had for 2 yrs has practically gone (also supported by EFT and NET applications)

1. Awareness

You are aware and either ready to change now hence reading my BLOG or you’re about to change in the future.

This is what happened to me, when I was ready I just found myself becoming more and more aware of the desire to change the habit. I didn’t beat myself up too badly, instead became more aware of how sugar was making me “FEEL”

Its about forgiving yourself and giving yourself permission to be human and have desires and needs at the same time honoring where you are at and giving yourself more love and consideration by consuming nurturing and nourishing foods

2.  Commitment & Persistence


It helps to declare that you are about to give it up

  • Get your whiteness! Tells a friend/family member, ask them if they would like to join the challenge, make it fun! More likely to succeed if you have your whitenessJ
  • Write it down “I’m replacing sugar with something that nourishes me instead. Can also use this in your tapping script as your set up statement.
  • Do my video twice a day
  • Use the tapping script whenever you feel an urge to eat sugar. It only takes 2 Mins!


Sometimes patience and persistence is necessary. When you consider that you may have had this relationship/pattern with sugar since a kid, its worth honoring this and giving it more time by applying the steps several times, especially the simple tapping process.

3. Tools for supporting you.

It can be a real challenge to simply stop, its possible but will take a lot longer and the cravings will likely return fairly quickly. However with my tips and support, it doesn’t have to be that hard.

Implement these tools that I have developed for you and you will reduce your cravings fast and you will FEEL better, calmer AND not only that when your tapping you are inadvertently addressing other hidden emotional disturbances without even directly tapping on them…Tapping BONUS!

Ta dahhh! The 2 magical tools are:

I would like to you try both, mix them up for maximum effect.

I highly recommend that you have the tapping script handy.

Print it out and have it in your pocket and on the kitchen wall so you have it ready when you get the cravings.

EFT tapping script for Sugar cravings

Before you begin:

Get your sugar item:

  1. Look at it
  2. Smell it
  3. Feel it but don’t eat it
  4. Get your desire really up
  5. Rate on paper or in your mind out of 10 how strong is the desire (10 being really strong)

Set up statement, tapping the side of the hand:

“Even though I have craving for sugar, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway”

Repeat above once

Reminder phases Starting with Top of head down to under the arm saying:

This…..The Meridan Points for EFT

  • This craving
  • I really want to eat it
  • Its so sweet
  • This craving
  • This craving
  • I don’t know if I’m ready
  • This craving
  • This craving

Big breath in and out    Relax, have fun with it!

Repeat at least once

Now sprinkle in some Positive Reminder phases

Starting with Top of head down to under the arm saying:

  • I give myself permission to give it up
  • Maybe I can do this?
  • I forgive myself
  • I choose calm instead
  • I have faith in myself
  • I am achieving something big
  • I’m proud of myself for trying
  • I choose peace & calm instead

Check in and notice how you feel!!

Need to do more?

  • Rinse and repeat, until you notice a change in your desire
  • Keep going, persistence is the Key
  • What to do if you become upset?

This is a good sign, your energy system is beginning to move and flow, the kinks in your pipes if you like, are being released and this can cause more “upset” go with this opportunity to release the related feelings and beliefs:

For example:

  • Frustration
  • Anger
  • Resentment
  • Sadness

4. Replace highs of Sugar with healthier options

My secret?

I still sometimes have a desire for something sweet but I no longer have the mad craving that makes me feel out of control or a weakling!

So, I make my own bliss balls to satisfy that desire.

I strongly recommend you make these so you have something in the house to nibble on or take out with you in a bag.

Here is my recipe, ENJOY!

Sugar free Chocolate/Orange Bliss balls

Makes approx. 25-30 balls of Yum!

HappiSoul's Bliss bombsThe ultimate sugar treat BECAUSE these scrumptious goodies are sweet, yet sugar free and packed full of nutrients

Ingredients: Organic ingredients where possible

½ cup currents
½ cup dates
¼ cocoa nibs
¼ cup ground Almonds
¼ cup ground sunflower seeds
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons cacao
½ cup melted coconut oil
1-teaspoon Natural vanilla essence.
1-teaspoon Orange oil (optional)
1/4 cup of desiccated coconut (for rolling the bliss balls in)
Rind from 2 oranges
Juice from 1/2 Oranges


Put all the ingredients, apart from the extra desiccated coconut into the blender or food processor and process until the dates are fully combined. If the mixture is too dry you can add some more Orange juice or more Coconut oil.

Roll into balls and sprinkle with the remaining desiccated coconut.

Stops sugar cravings

How good is this, it tasted sweet is really good for you AND will stop further unhealthy cravings! This is because good quality fat is more satiating than carbs, so if you cut down on sugar you will feel less ‘ravenous’.

Supports immunity

Coconut oil is made up of healthy fats contain antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral prosperities to boost the immune system. Lauric acid contains the highest concentration of MCFA fatty acids, approximately 75 per cent. The body turn this fat into monolaurin which is claimed to help heal viruses such as herpes, influenza, cytomegalovirus, helicobacter pylori and candida.

Other healthy sweet fixes that I have

  • Handful of currents and almonds ( I keep in a Tuppaware container in my handbag)
  • Licorice legs tea from T-2 I love this tea!
  • Fresh Pineapple
